Model: Tapo L510B   Tapo L530B   Tapo L610
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1 1

My tapo light bulbs are taking 3-5 minutes for commands from the tapo app, and from Alexa, to complete.

When they do eventually complete the command all follow up commands work with no issues.

Then after a short period of normally 20 minutes commands once again become delayed.

This has been happening on and off for about a year now. I have checked my Internet, other smart home items work with no issue and have immediate responses to commands.

Only the tapo devices in my house have this issue.

I saw some threads stating similar issues on other parts of this website. How was this resolved for them?

Please check the signal strength of your devices. Is the signal too weak? How to check and improve the network connection stability of Tapo smart devices

Please clarify during what operation this issue occurs, such as when controlling a single bulb, using group control, shortcuts, or automation.

Does the same problem occur when controlling through the Tapo app on the local WiFi network? *To avoid network switching and interference, turn off cellular data and the VPN (if any) on your phone before testing.

  @Wayne-TP

Hi there,

The signal strength is good.

I have a mesh Wi-Fi6 network set up with full coverage of my home. All tapo devices are with 10-20 metres of a Wi-Fi mesh node.

" when controlling a single bulb, using group control, shortcuts, or automation"

The issue occurs for all of these. It happens  through the tapo app and Alexa app.

Its very similar to this issue from another thread https://community.tp-link.com/en/smart-home/forum/topic/608518

All issues occur on the same network. There are no issues or delays with other smart devices from other brands I have at home.
