Model: Archer TX3000E
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I just bought the card a few days ago, and I spent an entire day looking for a solution to the issue of my card not being detected by Windows in Device Manager, which resulted in my PC being unable to access my Wi-Fi. Turns out that the installation guide is missing an IMPORTANT FACT, that being that the drivers you need to run the device MUST BE the ones from the CD provided with the card. Using the ones available from the official site will NOT help. Considering that these days new PC-s don't even always come with CD Drives included, this seems like an incredibly important issue. How this company failed to mention that fact is mind-boggling, so I'm letting people know in the hopes that someone else will be helped by this.

Hi,

Thanks for posting this information.

By the way, when downloading drivers for the Archer TX3000E from TP-Link's website it is very important to download the drivers for the correct hardware version, which is printed on the serial number sticker on the retail box of the product.

V1 to V3 are based on a Wi-Fi module from Intel, while V4 uses a Wi-Fi module from MediaTek, which of course require different drivers.

  @woozle

Huh, it may very well be that I didn't take a look at the version differences. I am used to other device drivers having all the drivers on one list. Guess I jumped the gun here.

  @TaaviTsarents No worries, it happens! Easy to miss when you're used to a different setup.
