Adding the accessibility option to the Tapo app was brilliant, but, ¿Have you ever wonder how hard could it be for somebody to lock - unlock their Tapo DL110 if for whatever reason they can’t use their hands or eyes (be it temporarily or permanently) to physically lock - unlock it or to use their smartphone?
Hopefully there’s a very simple solution:
The Tapo S200B/D.
If you could add “unlock - lock” as an action to the Tapo DL110, you could create an automation so they could just click the S200B/D and that would be it. You could even make some sort of necklace so they could carry the S200B with them, so when they arrive to their home and the S200B connect to the hub, they could just click it and unlock it!
So please, add “Lock - Unlock” as an action to the Tapo DL110!!

One might think that the essence of the Tapo brand beyond cameras and sensors and lighting is centered around the word “AUTOMATION”.
There’s plenty of brands offering all sorts of “smart” devices, but when you realize the potential of having multiple interconnected devices (of the same ecosystem) executing little tasks automatically and with ease that would otherwise require your time or attention, that’s when you ditch most brands and choose Tapo, but then you find out that most automations are out of reach because of one simple (and somewhat understandable) “omission” by TPlink, and so the whole thing comes apart.
Customer feedback is invaluable and at the end, it will only help you increase your sales; so, please TPlink, help us help you by fixing this shortcoming.
Adding the Lock/unlock “action” to the DL110 would unlock the following possible automation scenarios so far (these are your customers ideas):
DL110 + T110 = Auto lock only when door closes, not while open (in some scenarios the auto lock feature (after a set amount of time) is not useful because it locks the door before the door closes), and if you set a longer amount of time and forget to lock the door, it will remain open for an extended period of time after you leave.
Also, if you forget to lock the door, it will automatically lock it after you close it, not after a set amount of time.
DL110 + S200B(D) = Unlock/Lock by using a different body part when unable to use hands or fingers or when unable to use smartphone (for whatever reason).
DL110 + T100 = Unlock/Lock by using a different body part when unable to use hands or fingers or when unable to use smartphone (for whatever reason).
DL110 + H500 + Any Compatible Tapo Camera (dedicated camera) = Unlock/Lock using your face (Facial Recognition) if unable to use hands or any body part (for example when carrying heavy objects).
DL110 + T300 + H100/H200/H500 = You can set a T300 under a sprinkler and so in case of a fire it will sound an alarm and Unlock the door so you can evacuate quickly.
