Hi everyone,

I'm experiencing some issues with my powerline network setup using the TL-PA4010 and TL-WPA4220.

Most of the time, the network runs fine with a stable ping between 20-40ms, but occasionally the ping suddenly spikes every 30 seconds to anywhere between 200ms and 2000ms. This lasts for a short while before it returns to normal, but it happens often enough to be disruptive, especially when gaming or using video calls.

Here’s how my setup is laid out:

• The TL-PA4010 is plugged into a wall socket, but not directly into the wall it’s connected through a short extension (I know this isn’t ideal, but it's the only practical option in my house).

• The TL-WPA4220 is installed in my room on the second floor, about 13-15 meters away from the PA4010.

• There's another WPA4220 unit placed about 6-8 meters away from the PA4010 on the first floor.

Both WPA4220 units show three green lights most of the time, but the connection quality still dips intermittently and in my room I even tried to use LAN cable but still no effect.

I’ve tried:

• Re-pairing the devices.

• Resetting the adapters.

• Updating firmware where available.

Is this a signal degradation issue because of the extension or electrical interference? Or could the distance/setup layout be the main cause? Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated.

My house is monophasic so there is no issue with the power circuit being different
