Hi, I was trying to connect to the wifi with this adapter but it's very slow, i tried installing the hardware utility, changing the DNS changing settings in the control panel, anything solved that slowness, like it says it's up to 150mbps but in any cases reaches that speed,i think my wifi is in channel 1. And im running on windows 11

Let me know any solutions!
Thanks

Hi,

A good rule of thumb is that the practically achievable real-world speed of Wi-Fi cards/adapters (of any brand) is roughly half of the "advertised" speed number when the Wi-Fi router and the Wi-Fi adapter are located within the same room. As the distance between the two increases, the throughput speed decreases further.

Also, in case your are using a desktop-type of computer, then avoid plugging the USB Wi-Fi adapter into a USB port on the back panel of the computer where all the cables are connected, because this is usually the worst place for transmission and reception of radio signals.

Hello@GuzmanM ,

Welcome to our community!

If the speed of the wireless adapter is slow, please refer to the following troubleshooting steps:
    1. Connect another mobile device to the same Wi-Fi router to check whether the issue is on the router or the adapter.
    2. Disable the original wireless adapter from the control panel of your PC.
    3. Move the computer with the installed adapter about 10-15 feet from your router.
    4. Change the wireless settings on the main router.
    5. Install the latest driver on the TP-Link Official website.
