Model: Tapo C410 KIT  
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.2.3

Our tapo c410 is working fine recording on the sd card when connected to a wifi network.

 

However when there is no network. The camera blinks red (searching for network). And when checking.. it does not record any video.

 

You also cannot set continous recording as the c410 does not have this function.

 

How do we have it record even with no wifi connection?

Thanks, found the issue already. We set the recording time to 60 sec from 6 seconds and it worked already.

Check whether the detection feature functions correctly -- no detection, no videos. You can verify this by enabling the camera alarm, test whether the camera will sound an alarm when it detects motion.

 

Additionally, make sure the camera's firmware is updated. How to update the firmware of the Tapo devices on the Tapo App
