@davyd  Beta firmware has been sent to your devices, you may check it 30 minutes later in the Tapo app and perform the update.

  @Wayne-TP  Hi, thank you so much for your help. When I turn on the bulbs, they always blink 3 times, and when I turn them off, they stay green for 1 second.

The difference is that I have two L430 bulbs.

Is there any solution for this? Thanks in advance.

You are using the physical switch to control the light bulbs, correct?

When a Tapo smart bulb blinks 3 times, it typically indicates that the bulb has been reset, this might happen if you control the bulb through the physical switch. During power restoration, fluctuations in the electrical supply may trigger the bulb’s reset mechanism. This is exactly what we’ve been talking about in this thread — a new firmware update is now available to make the bulb more resistant to accidental resets. You can apply it by following the guidance in this thread.

About the faint green light when the bulb is turned off, it is actually a normal phenomenon for Tapo L430. This is caused by the low voltage that briefly remains in the circuit when the bulb is turned off using a physical switch. The faint green glow will fade quickly and does not affect normal performance or the lifespan of the bulb.

For the best experience, we recommend using the Tapo app to control your bulb to keep smart features working and ensure a complete shutdown without a faint green glow.

  @Wayne-TP

Hello,

Thank you for the information and support provided.

I would like to inform you that I have returned the 4 bulbs I previously purchased (L450), as they are not included in the list mentioned in this thread. I have now purchased 4 new L530E bulbs, and I hope that with these models I will be able to resolve the issue after applying the beta firmware update.

Once I receive them, I will follow the instructions and send you the MAC addresses of the bulbs.

Thank you again for your assistance.

Best regards,
