Dsl light keeps flashing and no internet access
As the title says, the light keeps blinking and I can’t connect to the internet. Using the same cables (except for the power cable), the old modem works fine. I’m in Italy with TIM as my internet provider. I spoke with a TIM technician, and they said it’s not a TIM issue, but rather a modem-related problem. I’ve already tried resetting it and checking for firmware updates, but nothing worked. Thanks in advance for any response.

Hello@Giordan23 ,
Welcome to our community.
The DSL indicator keeps flashing, which means the DSL modem is unable to establish a solid connection with the DSL service.
Please refer to the following steps to troubleshoot:
1. Verify that you have purchased the correct TP-Link device for your internet plan (the ADSL modem router could not be used on VDSL service).
2. Remove the DSL splitter and replace a new DSL cable if possible.
3. Reset the modem by pressing and holding the reset button/pin hole for at least 5 seconds until all LEDs turn on momentarily to reset the modem router to factory default settings.

Hi @Joseph-TP
I should have an ADSL connection, and my speed is around 20–30 Mb. I don’t think that’s the issue though, since the modem page shows everything as fine for both ADSL and VDSL connections.
I’ve already tried resetting it, and I also removed the splitter and connected it directly to the wall, but the problem persists.

This like great had a similar issue once and ended up testing my line with a spare router, kind of like troubleshooting a 1ee game step by step until it synced again.
