Model: Tapo RV30 Max Plus
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.3 Build 250411 Rel. 094615

Hi all, I can't seem to save my downstairs map which has quite a number of no go zones. It tried to upload but it always fails. My upstairs map which is much smaller and has less no go zones can be uploaded correctly. Also I don't have the 'backup and restore maps' button below the 'new map' that I see in other screenshots.

Secondly, when i first set it up to create a new map for upstairs, after the cleaning session I can't switch back to my downstairs map, keeps giving an error and after awhile the downstairs map disappeared completely when I attempted to clean without first switching maps. I had already locked the map. Because of this I had to remap my downstairs floor with the many no go zones.

Third, I noticed that the connection is pretty unstable. Often times I want to view the vacuum status and it just throws up an error saying unstable network. Starting the vacuum also sometimes requires a long wait time or 2nd attempt.

Are you using the owner account? If you don't see the Map Backup & Restore feature option, how did the 'fail to backup' error get triggered? When saving a new map?

Yes I'm the owner of the account, and if I click the hamburger button on the top right, there's the option for backup and restore there. As you can see for my downstairs map where it had failed to backup, the 'restore' button is greyed out while for my upstairs map, the 'restore' button is available as I can backup that map without issues. My region is in Malaysia if that is important. Until I'm able to backup my downstairs map, I'm afraid to move my vacuum upstairs for fear of losing my map again.

Can you check the signal strength of your device? [Device Settings page > click device name > on Device Information page, find Signal Strength and click its WiFi icon to show the RSSI rate.]

I had tested the remote control function and it works very well. Even with the robot sitting in front of the WiFi router with max signal strength, the map still fails to upload.

Have you tried to reboot the device? Press the power button for 3s to turn it off, then another 3s to turn it back on.
