Wrong links for UE306 driver download
Hello!
Bought TpLink UE306. Hardware version v1. Go to driver download section https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/ue306/v1/ & cannot find download links for v1, it propose v2.0 only :(
Can anybody fix this or provide correct links?

Hi,
Obviously both, the UE306 V1 and UE306 V2 use AX88179/AX88179A USB Ethernet ICs made by the company ASIX. Therefore they will use the same driver package.
I think TP-Link just saved themselves the effort of making separate copies of the same driver files for both versions. Although, I agree it would have been smarter to name the files "UE306(UN)V1.0_V2.0_Installer_..." to avoid confusion.
If you are interested in using the very latest driver available, then you could even download directly from the manufacturer of the USB Ethernet IC. https://www.asix.com.tw/en/support/download

Hi @proz1um, TP-Link UE306 V1 drivers are available, but TP-Link's website may not list them clearly. Since both V1 and V2 use the same AX88179/AX88179A USB Ethernet chip, the drivers are compatible across versions. You can download the V1 drivers from TP-Link's UK support page. Alternatively, you can download the latest driver directly from the chip manufacturer, ASIX. This should resolve your issue.
