Hi guys, 

 

wondering if someone can help before I just give up and return this robot vacuum! 
 

im having problem after problem with the mapping/ hoovering and then the returning to base... 

 

it maps the house fine, i send it out it says locating and then says cleaning complete returning to charging dock... 

it then cannot get onto said charging dock, the vacuum itself always being a few cm out! 
 

I have factory reset and re mapped my house many many many times and I'm just getting a bit sick of it now! 99% of the time I give up and just hoover normally in which case I no longer need this unit if it's just collecting dust! 
 

please can anybody help or I will just give up and return the unit! 
 

I've attached a picture of my last mapping and vacuuming attempt to which it did 1 very small straight section of my front room and then stopped! 
ps - I cannot upload said picture because the website doesn't work either!

Is the robot vacuum sent to clean a carpet area/room? What are the carpet preferences for this area? Refer to this article to double-check your settings:

How to optimize and edit Map of Tapo Robot Vacuum > Feature 6: Carpet Feature

 

Such things may occur if the vacuum is sent to clean a carpet area that is set to Vacuum Only or even No Cleaning.
