Please pay attention to the installation height and angle of your camera. The detection range of the camera's PIR sensor is fixed. If a vehicle passes outside the sensor's detection range, briefly enters a small area, or moves quickly, it may cause the camera to fail to wake up or to respond slowly.
The image below provides a clearer understanding of the Tapo C425's detection area. Please note that this diagram is based on the camera (specifically the PIR sensor) being installed parallel to the ground. If your camera is installed at an angle, the detection range will change accordingly.
Are you aware of how the vehicles that were not recorded passed through the camera's monitoring area? You can provide us with a liveview image from the camera and outline the path the vehicles took. We can help you assess whether there's an issue.
