Model: Tapo P100
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.4.0

I have connected a yard light with a P100 plug and the light is flashing at a regular rate even though it is in the off position. Is there a solution to this that will stop the flashing? I tried another plug and the problem was not solved.

@Wayne-TP I have installed the plug according to the instructions. Only configuration is simple power on/off, no smart actions, schedules. I control the lights via the app and when the lights are off the LED is not lit at all, when the lights are on the LED is green. I do have two other lights plugged with P100 and they are working just fine.

Only difference is The plug which is blinking is placed outside, in a dry place, the temperature has been as low as +8c, but according manual it should be ok.

Please note that the Tapo P100 is not an outdoor model, it is not waterproof. For safety concerns, please do not use it outdoors.

So this abnormal plug keeps blinking green, correct? Have you tried to reset the plug? Does the LED indicator behave normally? For instance, it should flash green during the reset and then flash between red and green when it returns to the configuration state after a short time. How to factory reset the Tapo smart plug

What's the color of the led indicator? Did you configure the smart plug?
