One of the best uses of the Tapo cameras and smart plugs is the ability to use the specific camera detections like Person or Vehicle to turn on or off or trigger alarms. I have more than 2 dozen cameras and even more P100s with automations to turn on flood lights when vehicles or persons are detected and not just random shadows or tree movements which dramatically cuts out a lot of false alarms. However the biggest draw back is the need for internet connections for these to work. 

When I saw the H500 come out with its ability to enable automations without the internet i immediately ordered 2 of them thinking I could migrate all my automations over and have them work if my internet connection went down. I was wrong. The automations ONLY work using the sensors like temp or door sensors and NOT cameras. This was no different to the H200 or H100 plugs at a fraction of the price of which i had half a dozen of. So as of now, my two H500 was paperweights.

My proposed feature request to enable and move the camera based automations to the H500 so our automations can continue to work without the internet (which was the whole point of a large home base station).
