I have two P304M power strip. Both current firmware is identical which is V1.0 | 1.0.5 Build 241213 Release 184446. The only difference it that i bought the device in different months. 3rd party compatiblity was on. 

 

ONE IS WORKING and the OTHER ONE is NOT WORKING in Home assistant integration. 

 

I use the HA Tapo ort the HACS tapo or HACS tapo controller, it really doesnt work. The erros always shows related to my tapo cloud credentials. I carefully enter the right credentials but still no luck. Why the other one is working? I remove and re-add the working one. still working!

 

Also the non-working i already tried many times to reset and add to my tapo. still no luck in adding home assistant.

 

the funny thing is that i have a Tuya  Matter/thread Hub gateway, the non working device can be added as sub-device but the working one can't be added. its strange.

  @Wifi-freak, why would you buy Tapo when they don't support Home Assistant? That's what they will tell you here anyway.

Sorry it tooks so long to reply concerning this topic since i didnt had a chance to test my HA. Anyway, in the past i use docker HA running in mac book and other one running in Linux. My macbook is my only way of test instead of investing PC beside my linux hosted remotely die after doing some troubleshooting of disk failure due to blackouts in my hometown. I am thousands faraway to my hometown! lol

 

Anyway I already have my own HAOS running on VM via my proxmox. Its super fine! im using matter over wifi. All my Tapo matter devices were working fine specially my Tapo HUB 110 (IR), i can remotely access my aircon and etc.. super sweet!

 

im enjoying with different brands integrating to my HA but i have a lot of invest in Tapo, Vigi & Omada stuff. Soon this PC will be on production when i go home. :-)
