VPN with tapo hubs
Hello.
Intermittently but quite often my H100 hub goes off line and requires a reboot almost daily .
Any suggestions as to why. The unit in the same room as a WiFi mesh extender so the signal is strong.
I am wondering if this is a VPN issue and I should consider split tunnelling the tapo app.

Was the hub disconnected from WiFi or from the cloud server (remote control failure)?
Could you share the reason for this speculation? Why do you think this issue is related to the VPN? What VPN are you using? Is it on your phone, or do you have a VPN server set up on the router?

We generally don’t recommend using the Tapo app while your phone’s VPN is active, as it may prevent the app from receiving timely device updates or even interfere with device management. If you encounter similar issue again, try disabling your VPN first, then restart the app.
