KE100 switches to internal sensor if T315 has no update for ~15 min (firmware bug)
Hi everyone,
I found a reproducible and very frustrating bug with the KE100 when using a T310/T315 external temperature sensor.
If the T310/T315 does not send an update for around 15 minutes (which happens naturally when temperature is stable), the KE100 automatically switches back to its internal temperature sensor.
As soon as the T315 sends the next update (sometimes 20–30 min later), the KE100 switches back to the external sensor again.
This cycle repeats all day.
There are:
-
no connection issues
-
no offline sensors
-
no hub problems
-
already set to High-sensitivity mode on all T310/T315
For me this fallback is not a feature but a serious firmware bug, because it makes the external sensor basically useless. The KE100 should only fall back if the external sensor goes offline, not simply because it didn’t send an update for some minutes.
Right now this behavior makes my setup pointless. If there is no fix planned, I will unfortunately have to return my 5× KE100 + 4× T315 1x T310, because the external sensor mode becomes unreliable.
Is anyone else seeing this? And can TP-Link please confirm whether this is a known issue or if a firmware fix is planned?
All devices are on the latest firmware: KE100 (HW 1.0, FW 2.1.0), T315 sensors (HW 1.0, FW 1.8.0), and one T310 sensor (HW 1.0, FW 1.5.0).
Thanks!
