Doorbell notifications in privacy mode
Doorbell Press Notifications in Privacy Mode:
Currently, when privacy mode is enabled on Tapo doorbell cameras, all motion detection, video recording, and notifications (including for doorbell rings) are disabled. However, some users wish to maintain privacy (camera and microphone off, no recording or motion detection) but still receive a notification on their phone whenever the doorbell button is pressed — just like the existing audio ring notification (e.g. when wearing headphones or when walking around/in the house and not be able to hear the chime everywhere)
Request:
Please add an option so that, even when privacy mode is enabled (with video and audio off), the system can still send a push notification to the user when the doorbell is pressed.
This notification would function just like the chime, but as a digital push notification, allowing privacy without losing basic doorbell functionality.
Benefit:
This allows users to maintain strict privacy (no video/audio monitoring or recording) while remaining instantly aware of visitors via their phone, increasing convenience and
usability.
