Model: Tapo P110
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.4

I bought a Tapo smart plug over a year ago and it's been a great product, but I have some minor trouble with it. First, I saw after numerous uses that the device card doesn't always update correctly, and in most cases, displays the opposite status. When on the device's page directly, the status is always correct though, so I don't understand the display error. My second trouble is with the widgets, as none of them is a simple one click on-off button with a clear status display (a simple change of color like the on-off of the device control is good enough). Maybe I don't understand how to set it up properly but it's either not present in the current app, or is so hard to set up that it's blocking me from a simpler automation. My goal when I bought the smart plug was to be able to remotely turn on my pc so that I could afterwards connect to it remotely, so I was a little disappointed when I found out that no widget exists that allow me to turn on my pc without having to start the app, go on the device then finally turn on the plug.

Please ensure the Tapo app is updated. What version of Tapo app are you using now? What's the Android and MIUI version of your phone?

Restart the phone might also help, have a try. Make a comparison test on another Android phone, monitor whether the same thing occurs on different devices.

Did you add a 'Device Control' widget? Can you share a screenshot of the widget?
