I have the Tapo app on both my iPhone and iPad. When I tried to log into the Tapo app on my iPad ( iPhone wasn't at hand ) to add plugs for Xmas lights it wouldn't recognise myID and password on the iPad and said it need to verify by sending a code, on trying to put the sent code in it kept saying code not recognised ( I tried multiple codes) but it didn't work ! But I managed to do it from my the Tapo app on my phone later which didn't need to be verified.

Once 2FA is enabled for the Tapo app, logging in from any new mobile device requires verification via a code sent to a trusted device or owner email. Check this article to learn more. Making Your Account More Secure: Introducing Two-Step Verification (2FA) for the Tapo App
What code were you using? Is it the 2FA code?

Can you be more specific? Are you unable to receive 2FA codes on your iPad for logging into other devices, or are you having trouble using codes from other devices to log into the Tapo app on your iPad?
Any error message? You may share a screenshot here.
