Model: Tapo L510E
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.1.10

I have had a mare connecting my house systen of plugs and bulbs. I resorted to reinstalling Kaza app for older devices which worked but couldnt get bulbs to reconnect depite going in circles following all the advice. Chanced upon a fix for a different device where someone changed their phone so I tried that myself and it worked (Sort of). I can now connect the devices using old phone (iphone SE3), but the app on my daily phone (iphone 17) still refuses to operate Kaza devices. It sees them but says it has connection issues. Kaza app works on that phone.

Is this a bug? I dont understand why the app works on one device and not the other.

This article might be helpful for you, take a look. What should I do if I fail to configure the Kasa device?

If this issue is consistently reproducible, I recommend contacting our support team for further investigation and providing the relevant logs. How to get the log of Tapo app

Please note that Kasa and Tapo are two different brands with their own apps. Tapo devices can not be added and managed in the Kasa app, you need to download the Tapo app.

thanks for taking the time to reply. I don't think I claimed to be trying to use Tapo devices on kaza app, it was the other way around, as I have been successfully doing for a number of years now. The issue has been trying to use kaza devices on Tapo app with new phone. Just doesn't want to work. Old phone still works fine.
