Model: KE100 KIT
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 2.10.0

Hello,

I have a problem with 2 of my 4 KE100.

It seems like they don't close the valve correctly as the radiators are hot 24/7. Both thermostats worked perfectly until a few days ago.

I use the batteries delivered with the KE100 and did not need any adapters for the installation.

The firmware is also up-to-date.

Today I reinstalled, reset and recalibrated both devices but without any luck. The problem still exists.

Last night the temperature was set to 20°C, but the thermostats heated the room to around 26°C!!!. The current outside temperature is 5-10°C

Is there anything else I can try?

Kind regards,

Mel

What's the brand and model of your radiator? You may refer to this list to verify whether an adapter is needed to install the KE100 with your radiator. Kasa Smart Thermostat Radiator Valve Compatibility Guide

Have you tried swapping the KE100s around to see if the problem moves with a specific device or stays in a certain radiator?

This is happening to me as well and I really don’t know what to do. I have the temperature set to 22°C, it works correctly for a while, but then during the night it somehow turns on and the heating keeps running. In the morning, the room temperature shows around 27°C even though the set temperature is still 22°C. I will probably return or claim the device as faulty. How did it work out for you?

  @Jimiii Hello

I somehow fixed it with replacing the batteries.

The app showed that the old ones were still full but I changed them anyways.

Now its working perfectly since the battery replacement

Maybe this helps you too

I have already replaced the batteries and tried many things — calibrating it, uninstalling it and installing it again. I’ve had it since October, and now when you actually need it, it doesn’t work. Or rather, it works for one day and then during the night it starts heating and doesn’t stop. You can turn the temperature to the maximum or to a lower setting, but it doesn’t make any sounds. It stays like this until I do a calibration again.

Can you share some screenshots of your TRV's temperature report? What's the model/type of your thermostat?
