Do you mean the power protection feature? This feature is triggered only when the smart plug detects that the connected load exceeds the set value for a sustained period. Short‑term spikes will not activate the protection.

Device's actual power might fluctuate. You may try to reduce the set power value. 

Do a test with another appliance, see how it works.
