Expose Power Usage of KP125M for Automation (both in Tapo/Kasa apps, and through Matter)
The KP125M smart plugs feature Energy Monitoring which you can view within the Kasa or Tapo apps as current (right now) power usage in Watts, or as a historic view over time.
What you can't do is leverage this information for Automation in any way. You cannot create Actions to trigger something when the connected device reaches a certain Wattage. Through Matter you can't even see the current energy usage, the only exposed values are the Online or Offline state of the plug in general.
This seems like it would be very simple to implement, and a shame that it does not exist currently. Lets get the power monitoring exposed for automation and Matter to make these little plugs super powerful to automate tasks based on power usage.
In my specific situation, I have a 3D Printer connected to the plug, and it is easy to see when the printer is actively printing because it is over a certain wattage of power usage. I'd like to be able to use this to trigger a camera and lighting in the room to monitor the printing status. I can think of many more use cases where power watt usage would be a great trigger or condition for automation as well.
