Model: KS220M
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.6

I have 9 KS220M switches in my house and they all updated at the same time and the app froze / Wi-Fi dropped part way through. They are no longer working for my needs (either due to the interruption or the new firmware) and I would like the firmware rolled back to 1.04 please. I have already tried restarting, hard resetting / adding, etc. I just need a support member to push the older firmware to my devices. Thank you!

What's the current issue on your devices? Configuration failure? Unresponsive reset? You may share more details here so we can help to provide suggestions.

Saw your posts about the TP link motion sensor switch KS220M not working. I have been battling these switches becoming unreachable with the Kasa app for a few months. Tried reconfiguring the router wifi but didn't help. What seems to have worked is configuring each of the KS220 switches on the router so they don't have internet access. The Kasa app doesn't seem to show the IP anymore but the Tapo app will under settings/device info. Once you know the IP of the switch, go to the router and configure that IP so it has no internet access. This seems to have stopped the devices becoming unresponsive.

So you’re saying your device becomes unresponsive whenever it’s connected to the internet? Could you describe exactly what’s happening?

By the way, are you also using Home Assistant or any other open-source platform to manage your devices? If you are, it might be worth checking if that’s related – we’ve seen similar issues reported with setups like that before.

Well unfortunately blocking the Internet access to the KS220 modules is not an ideal solution.  Both the Kasa and Tapo apps will control the modules while connected to wifi but clearly do not when you are away from home.  I was ok with that because yes, I have a Home Assistant server and it can control the motion sensor switches no problem and send me a notification when they detect light on via the HA app.  However the Google Home breaks on the modules with blocked Internet so no more "Hey Google turn kitchen off".  The other problem is the Smart control for the time of day that I program to the modules is out of wack and my bathroom motion sensor turns on at 100% instead of 8% at 2:00 am.  As I said, not ideal.  So what is Kasa/Tapo sending down the Internet that screws up only the KS220 modules while all of my other switches and modules?
