Model: KE100 KIT
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 2.10.0

I know this was discussed up until about a year ago.  I have just bought one (before I read that thread) and it looks as though the problem is still evident.

My temperature is set for 20, and in the morning it shoots up to 22.1, then drops to 19.5 before 'switching on' again.  Not really acceptable.

I had hoped that firmware updates might have solved it, but it appears not.

Can anyone suggest any reasonably priced alternatives that do work 'proportionally'.  Thanks.

Thank you for your feedback regarding the temperature control behavior of your KE100. We understand your observations about the valve operation and temperature fluctuations, and we appreciate the opportunity to clarify how the system is designed to work.

The temperature regulation of the KE100 is driven by a sophisticated algorithm, not a simple on-off mechanism. The valve adjusts its opening based on multiple real-time factors, such as the difference between your target and the current room temperature, as well as the duration of operation. The full-open or full-close behavior you observe is the result of various factors interacting at certain times, and it does not mean that the valve is always operating in an all-or-nothing manner.

Regarding temperature fluctuations: the KE100 regulates temperature by adjusting the valve, which inevitably introduces a degree of thermal lag. When the valve opens, hot water flows through, causing the temperature to rise. Even after the valve closes, residual heat in the system continues to drive the temperature upward for a period of time. Our algorithm has been designed to minimize the impact of the delay. Additionally, to ensure long-term battery life and device reliability, the frequency of valve adjustment needs be limited. While more frequent adjustments could narrow the temperature band slightly, they would also significantly increase power consumption. Therefore, we balance precision with efficiency to support stable performance over time. I hope this explanation helps you understand the reasons behind the temperature fluctuations.

Hi there,

for us this also feels more like on off behavior. You need to look into this code. I have several competitors valve and all behave very well.

please create a software version to correct this. Otherwise at least I need to send all back.

many thanks considering

Over 2 degrees above design temperature does not sound to me as though the 'sophisticated algorithm' described by support is actually doing its job properly. I should be interested to hear which alternative devices you have tried, which seem to perform more as we expect? Thanks.
