Hello,

Im having troube with my S220 switch. Everthing was working just fine for around 6 months (maybe more) than suddenly switch became unavaliable on the app and forced me to remove it in the app. Physicly it works correctly - turns wired lightbulbs on and off. I can make it enter parring mode, correctly pair with my H100 hub (the same one it worked correctly with before). Righ after pairing switch marks up as unavaliable in the app and forces me to remove it again. I have also S200B button that works correctly with the same H100 hub. Hub itself works properly. On the same network i also have 3 110M smart plug that work without an issue. I tred to connect the S220 multiple times using different phones, different networks. I already reset everithing to factory setting and set it up again. I also checked wifi setting - nothing wrong here either. I have no more ideas what to do now and I would be greateful for any help.

Greetings and thank You all for help!

Is your Tapo app updated? What's the current version? Try to reinstall the app. You can also use another phone or tablet to do the setup, see if that makes any difference.

Do not enable VPN (if any) while using the Tapo app.

Can you test whether the H100 hub can be controlled remotely? Turn off WiFi on your phone, enable cellular data, then try to ring the hub in the Tapo app.

Tapo app is oup to date - version 3.16.162. When they stopped working a few weeks ago I tried redoing it on a few different devices, two different WiFi's and reinstalled the app multiple times. VPN is not anabled. Hub is working via cellular.

Is your Tapo S200 unable to pair with the H100 at all, or does it go offline right after setup completes?

  @Wayne-TP

Thank you very much for your reply.

I have set it up with my Hub TapoH200  on 11th of January 2026. It worked without any issue until 31st of January. (give or take a few days). Around this time, I fist noticed I could no longer control S220 Switch, when i went in switch on Tapo App, app told me it could not connect to the device and prompted me to remove it. I removed the battery and reinserted hoping it would connect. Didn't work. Then I removed s200, tried to add it again to my hub. It does not even see the device. (yes i have used the reset/sync button, both hub and s220 blinked LED as they should on pairing mode.) I replaced the battery, tried many times to pair them, It failed every time. Hub and switch are really close to each other, (less then 2 meters).

If at the end of the day, TP link tells me it wont work because of region or a similar reason, I will be dissapointed, since this device worked with my Hub for 20 days. Alexa & home assistant was also able to control it all trough my TP link account (no Matter bind).

Is there any issue with the latest firmware? I saw some post about s220s all created over last week?

What can I try to make them pair again?

I also have IR hub, but that never saw S220.
