Tapo Hub H200 recording limitation
Since I have switched the local storage from camera to hub the clips are only 10-20 sec long and they miss a lot of events.
This made my Tapo devices unreliable and I am thinking of switching to other brand.
Those clip limitation when recording to hub are simply ridiculous.

@Yarecco it's designed like that, it won't be changed, that's what support said. The only option is continuous recording, which is stupid.
Anyway, turn on continuous recording, you will notice that there is a bug, missing records before events and after them :) Probably when you set up the camera only for event recording, then the recorded events are even shorter, because of that bug.

My TC65 camera is connected to the hub ap.
But apart from short video clips I encountered another issue.
When saving records on internal sd card I always had relevant tags for each event recorded. Line crossing, area intrusiuon etc.
When recordings are saved on Tapo Hub I have this mesage instead and all events are marked as "area intrusion".

@Yarecco h200 hub is not supporting multi events icons and will mark any event with single icon plus some events even if it is cat meow, or glass break for example will be marked differently, not supported again with h200 hub

Alright.
Another step closer to returning this thing back to the retailer.
Any other features you would expect but they aren't there?
I also noticed that when I connected my Tapo temperature monitor T315 to this hub the readings do not refresh automatically on the Tapo App main page. I need to click on the specific device to receive actual readings.
This hadn't happened when connected to Kasa Hub.
Of course I need Kasa hub for my smart thermostat because Tapo things are not compatible though I could connect tapo things to kasa hub.
Too much mess with this brand, seriously.

@SugarBaby To clarify, when the video storage path is set to a Tapo hub, individual detection clips will become shorter. This helps improve data transfer efficiency, allowing video to be saved to the hub faster and more reliably.
If there are missing contents between two detection clips, this needs to be analyzed separately.
