I’m thinking about setting up a simple home monitoring system and came across the Tapo smart cameras on tp-link.com. The features like live view, motion detection, and mobile alerts seem practical for everyday use. I also noticed that many people are now comparing such devices with newer AI-Vision security products that offer more advanced detection and smarter notifications.

Has anyone here used a Tapo camera? How is the performance, video quality, and reliability for daily security? Would you recommend it, or suggest looking into more advanced AI-based options?

Could it possibly be thinkable to reduce somewhat the size of ptz cameras like tapo, in order to make it more concealable, for example the 2 visible lights on the side of the lens move them above the lens to reduce width, or somehow reduce size if possible.

We welcome and truly appreciate all product suggestions, including ideas for new products. For this suggestion, we’d love for you to share it in detail on our Feature Requests block.

Please create a dedicated post there with a thorough description. For example, you could explain: what specific size of PTZ camera you have in mind, why that particular size is needed, and where you plan to place it. And don’t forget to add the ‘New Product Idea’ tag.

This way, other users with similar ideas can easily find your post, join the discussion, and upvote it -- helping our team gauge interest and prioritize.
