D130 doorbell does not switch to daylight savings time
D130 doorbell does not switch to daylight savings time
My doorbell and phone (with Tapo app) are both in the same time zone as America/New_York, with the same rules for daylight savings time. Device info says America/New_York UTC-05:00 and does not have an option to recognize daylight savings time UTC-04:00.
Early this morning we switched to daylight savings time. The Tapo app gets confused by all videos that were recorded after the switch. The doorbell still thinks we're in standard time so the time stamps are 1 hour off, but the app knows the correct time zone. The app gives a notification with the correct date and time, but the app cannot find the correct video on the device.
When I search forums here and elsewhere in the internet, it seems the Tapo company says that the device will automatically switch between standard time and daylight savings time if the time zone is a location that has daylight savings time. This is not true. Today the device did not switch.
Does anyone know how to set the doorbell correctly?

Today, starting around 27 hours after we switched to daylight savings time and continuing until (so far) 37 hours after the switch, the app has been working properly. When I click on a notification, the app displays the correct video.
So I guess the problems only occur for about a day after the switch. Maybe 23 hours in spring and 25 hours in fall. Maybe some other duration. Anyway this is just a guess.
By the way, thinking about Arizona, the app really needs an option for the user to say whether their location is subject to daylight savings time or not. The dates in Canada and the US are different from the dates in European countries, Australia, etc.

The doorbell corrected itself a few hours late. Recordings have correct time stamps now.

It is not fully fixed. Files in the doorbell have correct time stamps. But on the phone, clicking on a notification from the app, the app displays the wrong video. The correct video can be clicked and played in the list of videos, but the app is still confused.

I am having similar issues with a C545D V1.0 running on latest firmware version 1.1.5 Build 251223 Rel.40022n.
It doesn't set the correct daylight savings time offset for America/New York. All of my other Tapo cameras set it correctly but this camera is exactly one hour behind all the others.

@Wayne-TP I don't live in the US. The time zone is the same as America/New_York. Some vendors let me set the time zone as America/Toronto but Tapo doesn't, but it's OK because the rules are the same as for New York.

I rebooted my router and it came up with the correct DST offset and matched what my other cameras were already showing.
