Hi TP-Link Team and Community,

I’ve been using several Tapo P110 and P115 plugs mainly for power monitoring. They are great devices, but I’ve encountered a major issue: accidental power-offs.

A few times, I (or someone else) accidentally turned off a device that should stay powered 24/7 (like a home server or a fridge) – either by tapping the icon in the app or by accidentally pressing the physical button on the side of the plug.

I would like to request two software features:

  1. Physical Button Lock: An option in the settings to disable the physical button on the plug (similar to a "Child Lock").

  2. Software "Always On" / Monitor-Only Mode: A toggle that removes or locks the "Power Off" button in the app for specific devices. This would turn the plug into a dedicated power meter that cannot be easily turned off by mistake.

This would make the P110/P115 series the perfect solution for users who care about energy monitoring for critical hardware.

Is anyone else looking for this? Please support this request!

To keep discussions clear and focused, please submit different product suggestions in separate posts. This way, information stays organized and conversations can center on specific features. Concentrating feedback on a single suggestion also makes it more valuable during the evaluation process.

Regarding this topic, there is already an existing user feedback thread. Go ahead and cast your vote, join the discussion. Block possibility of accidentally powering the Tapo plug off

For this post,  I recommend revising your original post to focus on a hardware-related suggestion, for example, emphasizing improvements in physical control.
