Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.9.0 Build 230704

Problem:

The sensor is stuck showing “door open for a long time” in the Tapo app, even though the door has been opened and closed multiple times.

 

Current behavior:

 

  • The LED on the sensor is constantly ON (solid green)
  • It does not blink when opening or closing the door
  • Previously, it used to blink once on every open/close, and blink during pairing mode

 

 

What I’ve already tried:

 

  • Replaced the battery (CR2032)
  • Reset the device multiple times
  • Re-paired with the hub
  • Checked alignment with the magnet

 

 

Observation:

Even when I bring the magnet very close to the sensor, there is no LED response.

  @Barani_Vignesh  This seems like a hardware issue. I recommend getting a replacement directly. To proceed with the warranty, you may contact the retailer or local TP-Link support
