tapo app not opening on iphone
i have had my tapo camera for a few years now running on old ios software on a iphone 8 i have upgraded phone to a iphone 12 running ios 26.4 . downloaded the app but it will not open i have tried everything on the web and the tap instructions etc . can anyone help at all ?

Can you be more specific? A video would be helpful to let us understand the issue you're experiencing.
While i'm not sure what you mean, you can try to delete and reinstall the app, see if that helps.

@watton i am having the same prolem.Will not work with iphone 12.i have uninstalled many time.my iphone is upto date-app download but screen says ste up id or login when pressed no response

me too it's just like a screenshot doesn't respond to touch. Needs sorting out I'm on iPhone SE

On which page did you get stuck? Can you share a screenshot here?
If this is your first time logging in, you should see a page displaying the Terms of Service. You’ll need to agree and check the box (in front of the text line) before you can proceed to the next page.
Or are you stuck on the login screen itself? Is the keyboard not appearing when you tap the username or password field, or does nothing happen after you tap the login button once you’ve entered your credentials?
To better help with this case, please share your Tapo app version (check it in the App Store) and the iOS version of your phone.

iPhone7 Plus (running the apps for 3-4 years with this phone without issue), after Apr 20, 26 auto update, Tapo App just shut itself down at the loading screen. Once in a while could get into camera view, but will shutdown after a few sec. I also notice the phone run alot hotter, can feel the heat even a few second into camera view. Hope this help.

Your case seems different from the previous two users’. It sounds like you’ve successfully logged into the app, but the page isn’t loading correctly, is that right?
Could you clarify which page are you stuck on — the initial Tapo landing page, or the app home page where device statuses fail to load?
What's the iOS version of your phone and the Tapo app version (check it through the app store)? Have you tried to delete and reinstall the app? And restart your phone?

Since the phone is very old and there will be no further not support anymore, it is at Version 15.8.7.
Haven't try deleting app and reinstall for first post, now you mentioned it, the reinstall successfully solved the crash issue. Thank you.
