Pan/tilt camera day/night routine
Hi, I've looked and can't seem to see what I'm trying to do, so sorry if it has been asked...
I have the fixed lense pointing down my drive & the pan/tilt facing the back of my house , now with the warmer weather coming & my dogs going in/out of the house I'm getting numerous notifications. I understand I can't turn off notifications for just the pan/tilt camera, so I was wondering if I was able to set say a routine up, so that during the day then p/t camera was pointing down my drive & then at night it moved to face the back of the house automatically? Cheers

Hello,
Welcome to the Tapo community! This requirement can indeed be achieved by using Smart Actions (Automation) on the Tapo C246D.
You may follow the steps below:
Step 1: Save Viewpoints
Open the Live View page of the C246D in the Tapo app.
Tap Pan & Tilt, then manually adjust the camera to face the back of your house.
Tap the Viewpoint add (+) button under the pan/tilt controls, save the position, and give it a name (for example, “Back of House”).
Repeat the same steps to adjust the camera to face your driveway, and save it as another viewpoint (for example, “Driveway”).
Step 2: Create Smart Actions (Automations)
Go to Smart Actions > Automation.
Create a new automation and set the effective time to Always.
Add a Trigger based on time (for example, 6:00 PM).
Under Then (Action), select Control One Device > Tapo C246D > Pan & Tilt Control, and choose Rotate to the saved viewpoint for the back of the house.
To have the camera point toward the driveway during the day, simply create another automation using the same process, with a different time trigger and selecting the Driveway viewpoint.
This setup will allow the pan/tilt lens to automatically change direction based on time, helping reduce unnecessary notifications during the day.
Best Regards.
