Tapo D235 is ringing on its own when nobody is there and all AI detection settings are off
As the title says my Tapo D235 is ringing on its own when nobody is there and all AI detection settings are off.
This started on April 25th and now its mostly unusable ghost ringing several times a day and night.
The camera and the hub both have their firmware updated, its battery powered, it worked well during one year.
I already tried:
- Formatting the SD
- Restarting the Camera
- Removed the Camera from app, Resetted the Camera & Added again.
Did anyone had this problem? How to solve it?

Did you enable the anti-theft alarm? You may want to check if it is the cause. How to pause/stop the Anti-theft Alarm of your Tapo Doorbell
Additionally, the sound you’re hearing might be a false trigger from the doorbell button itself. When the doorbell rings, does the associated chime also ring at the same time? You could try changing the doorbell’s ringtone to see if the automatic ringing plays the new sound next time.

I have the same problem with my D235 ringing when noone is pressing the button. It's been working for months but begin yesterday. It's not the theft alarm and I get a notification in my Tapo app. The doorbell doesn't get get wet, temperature is 15-25 degrees. Firmware is 1.2.2 (Build 260210 Rel.27165n). Solution?

How often does it happen? Try to factory reset the doorbell and leave it unconfigured for a while to see if the issue reoccurs on its own.
Note: If you have any important recordings, please back up your SD card or download the clips to your phone first.
