Model: Tapo C320WS
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.3

Hi,

After the firmware update to 1.5.3 on my Tapo C320WS (Hardware V2.6), RTSP is completely broken. Port 554 is not open at all.

Details:
- Model: Tapo C320WS
- Hardware version: 2.0
- Firmware: 1.5.3
- Previous firmware: 1.5.1 (RTSP was working fine)

What I have tried:
- Factory reset (multiple times)
- Re-created camera account with RTSP enabled
- Confirmed camera account is ON in Advanced Settings
- Tested with ffmpeg: Error -138 ECONNREFUSED
- Port 554 confirmed closed via Test-NetConnection

Could you please provide the previous firmware (1.5.1) or a fix?

Thank you.

Update: Resolved! (Self-resolved after time + credential reset)

The issue resolved itself after the following:

1. Left the camera powered off overnight (camera was unplugged after the firmware update)
2. Next morning (approximately 12+ hours later), powered it back on
3. Reset the camera account credentials via Tapo app to simple alphanumeric values
   (no special characters)
4. Port 554 was now open and RTSP started working

Technical notes for others who encounter this:
- After firmware 1.5.3 update, RTSP port 554 was completely closed (ECONNREFUSED)
  even with camera account enabled
- ONVIF port 2020 and HTTPS port 443 were open the whole time, so the camera
  itself was reachable
- It appears RTSP service needs significant time to fully initialize after the
  1.5.3 update
- Note: Audio stream uses PCM A-law, which cannot be muxed directly into MP4.
Use ffmpeg option "-c:a aac" to transcode

Hope this helps anyone else facing the same problem!
