I just purchased a BE550 Pro.

During initial setup, it auto-updated to firmware 1.1.1

 

At the moment, there are only IoT devices and cell phones the BE550 Pro is communicating with in the household.

 

The issue i'm experiencing is over the period of a few hours, I lose all response to/from the BE550 Pro.

 

I'll reboot the router, but over the period of few a hours or less I'll slowly lose response from BE550 Pro.

 

It seem like once the cell phones leave the household, Tether App loses communication with the router, but I'll still have communication with IoT devices for while. Eventually, I lose communication with all IoT devices outside of the household.

 

When I return back to the household, cell phones see SSIDs but can't connect.

 

I go look at the router, and the LED pattern on the front indicates everything is 'ok'.

 

At this point, I can only assume the router is frozen/locked-up and I have to cycle the power on router to gain any response.

 

I've factory reset a handful of time

 

I'm looking for guidance for path forward.

I've read there is BETA firmware available, but I don't believe this issue is applies to scenarios posted in the community.

It sounds like the root cause of your BE550 Pro losing connectivity over time may be cloud service outages. Here are some steps to help address it:

1. Check the router's time settings: Log into the web interface (Please refer to How do I log into the web-based Utility?) and make sure the time zone, date, and time are all set correctly. Incorrect time settings can interfere with cloud synchronization.

2. Confirm your internet connection is stable: Make sure the router's connection to the internet itself is consistent. An unstable WAN connection can cause cloud sync to drop intermittently.

3. Change DNS servers: Go to Advanced -> Network -> Internet, click on the Advanced option in the middle of this page, and change the DNS servers to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

4. Manually update firmware: Click Archer BE550 Pro(CA)_V2_1.1.1 Build 20260113, then refer to How to Update Firmware on TP-Link Wi-Fi Routers for the firmware update.

  Hi @Joseph-TP 

 

While waiting for a repsonse, I manually uploaded v1.1.1 into the router -set 4 in your troubleshooting- without doing any of the other troubleshooting steps.

 

Everything seems to be running better.

 

I guess when the router auto-updated during out of the box initial setup, something went wrong.
