I recently got an RV30/RV30 Max Plus vacuum robot.

Up until Wednesday of last week everything was working perfectly with the vacuum and mop feature.  However, since this Thursday I started experiencing issues with the vacuum where it acts erratically, cleaning the same spot over and over.  When looking at the forum I saw others had the same issue when the mop was installed.  I read that people on the forum removed the mop head and their vacuuming function worked and I have no issues.  Mine acted the same and when I removed the mop head, it worked as normal.

I replaced the mop pad and dialed down the water to 1.  The vacuum and mop feature works for a little while, then the issue comes back.

In the attachment you can see the robot starts out fine, then it has an issue.  I removed the mop after that point, and the robot starts working as expected.

PS - We have a second robot upstairs and we aren't having an issue with it, so I know it is not an WiFi / internet issue.

  @JoeFromPA

So you’re saying the robot vacuum is acting up by having a messy cleaning path, not that it’s stopped working entirely, is that correct?

How bad are the oil stains in your kitchen? If they’re pretty heavy, they could be causing the tires to slip. This, combined with the mop being wet and heavier, would increase the chances of this happening.

  @JoeFromPA It is more than a messy cleaning path.  It gets stuck in the same place and will eventually wear the batter down and die in that same location but only with the mop head on.  Also, everything was working fine with the mop head on as of last week

However, last night I took the mop head off and when it ran at 3am, it worked as expected (see attached picture).  We don't wear our shoes in our home, so the wood floors are not oily or very dirty.  We have a dog that sheds and leaves paw prints on the floor after being walked and that is the extent of what the vacuum is cleaning.

Another user had he same problem a year ago. https://community.tp-link.com/en/smart-home/forum/topic/772374
