many of your cameras feature ac adapter connector and some also rj45 connector that are pretty big. You've been switching design / number of connectors for some cameras back and forth as most use WiFi. But it's always nice to have many installation options. Also if you remove old cameras that already have network cables installed it can be used again.

Alot of products nowadays have switched to usb-c connector. It can handle good power supply, network signal etc and is pretty compact in size. With an usb-c to rj45 ethernet adapter users could also choose to use wifi connection or cable connection.

Some people choose to cut off the connectors especially rj45 when cables are installed through walls. As the drilled hole would be unormaly big after if not done. Then comes the extra job to isolate unused cables, stitch the rest together correct.
