Hello.

 

No idea where to post this.

 

I own 3 Tapo's TP115,

 

W/o my knopwldge and w/o any notification, there where updaytes available fot the TP115. The 1.4.6 Build 260309 Ref 093810.

I saw this when i opened the TAPO app on my phone.

 

The updates where not applied automaticly, although this is enabled in the app.

 

1- Why not?

2- Why did i get NO notification, other than open the TAPO app?

 

All TP-Link/Tapo devices in my network using the same acoount/emailadres.

Push notification is not available for the new firmware notice. Instead, you will receive a pop-up window when you open the Tapo app if a new firmware is available, a red dot will also appear on the 'Firmware Update' option if you check it within device settings.

 

As for the auto-update issue,  what time is your “Auto Update” schedule set for? There are some cases where the auto-update might fail, for example, if the device is offline at the scheduled time or if the smart device has just detected the new firmware but hasn’t reached its scheduled update window yet.
