Model: Tapo P100
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Hello,

I have a Tapo P100 Smart Plug (Hardware Version V2).

The plug was working correctly and was connected to my Tapo account.

I removed the device from the Tapo app because I wanted to reconnect it to my new phone. Since then, I have not been able to add it back.

I have tried:

- Resetting the plug multiple times

- Holding the power button for more than 5 seconds

- Reinstalling the Tapo app

- Using both my old phone and my new phone

- Connecting to 2.4GHz Wi-Fi

- Enabling Bluetooth and Location permissions

- Moving close to the device during setup

The plug cannot be found by the Tapo app and always shows "Device cannot be found".

Model: Tapo P100

Hardware Version: V2

Region: United Kingdom

Please help me recover and reconnect this device.

Thank you.

Check suggestions here: What should I do if I fail to configure the Tapo devices. If it still doesn't help, contact technical support for further assistance.

A kind reminder: Unless the router WiFi setting has been changed, you don't need to reconfigure the smart plug after changing a new phone, Tapo device is bound to your TP-Link account, you just need to log in Tapo app on other devices with the same account, that's all.
