The sensor is always in standby mode, ready to detect random activity. I think you’re referring to still receiving detection notifications outside your set time, is that correct?
The sensor has its own notification function, and you can also add notification actions through automations. If you have both enabled but their active schedules don’t match, that could explain what you’re seeing.
Check the settings in both places to see if there are any conflicts, duplicates, or missing configurations.
- Sensor's device Settings page > Notification.
- Tapo app homepage > the bottom Smart tab > Automation.
