HS110 Unable to configure new smart plugs

I've just purchased 3 HS110 smart plugs but am unable to configure them. I use Kasa on my Pixel 2XL and when it gets to the Customize Icon page, clicking Next would cause it to flash an error about searching for WiFi Network then return to the same page.
This happens for all the devices...
