Model : HS110(EU) Box also lists Ver:2.0

Hardware Version : 1.0 (Kasa App

Firmware Version : 1.2.5

Hi,
I have a HS110(EU) V2 Smart Plug and connected my solar panels. I can not see the power generated in the Kasa App. I upgraded to the latest firmware using the Kasa App.
I connected 4 solar panels using 2 APS i500 microinverters. I know the panels generate electricity because the smart meter records this correct.
Does anyone have experience using the HS110 to record generated power?

I have the same problem using the HS110. I have 1500W of solar panels connected, and the "current power" says 28191W
I think the HS110 is a one-directional measuring system.
Does anybody have a solution? Or another system to measure and making visible the generated power on smartphone?

Thank you. Kristof.

Hi Kristof,

in the mean time I send a question to TPLINK support about this. They confirmed that the HS110 is NOT suitable for measuring power generated.

I have send the (not-smart-enough;))plug back to the shop.

Right, this annoying - I also wanted to get the current solar power.

Nevertheless I found out by comparison that you can calculate the generated power by this expression:

P[W] = (28323 - display) * 10

Example: display says 28191 ---> 1320 Watt generating

how the heck you guys trying to obtain generated solar energy? its stupid to measure power from invertor, as it will be only the numbers, you have currently connected to it load. You need to measure directly the output from panels, before the acc/charge controller, which is 36 v thus this plug will not support this

So far the smart plug can't support reverse static. hope it will support this one day and benifit more customers.

@Anton L.Z.  I've actually tried measuring my tiny solar panel, connected via grid tie inverter and it worked. Small wattage, but it was pretty consistent with what my multimeter display showed.
