Hi,
The NC200 only supports 2.4GHz, does not support 5Ghz. That is why it works fine with 2.4GHz.
Good day.

Hi,
I'm afraid that the " original 5GHz wifi network" should be 2.4GHz; what we can confirm is that the NC200 only supports 2.4Ghz.
You can check the SPECs to get this info.
https://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/cat-19_NC200.html#specifications
Wireless Data Rates | IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, Up to 300Mbps |
---|---|
Frequency | 2.4-2.4835GHz |
so in order to make it work,it is suggested to connect it to the 2.4GHz.
Good day.
