Model: KC200
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: ?

Hello,

I bought two units of this camera. They are both installed fine in the Kasa app and works fine, but the second unit gave a message in the app that there is a firmwareupdate availble.

I accepted the update and after few seconds some red message about not able to reach TP-link server or something flashed for some 2 seconds.

After that, the cam is listed as "Updating firmware" for more than 1 hour now.

It seems to have hanged, and is not contactable. There is a constant green LED on it.

How long can a firmware update take...?

Is it safe to disconnect it and try again?

Update:

I took the brave decision to remove the cam from the list and reinstalled it.

Again came this offer and ..I accepted again.

This time it worked in few minutes and now it is on Firmware 2.2.19

Hopefully OK now..

@AMG1

Thanks for your reply, glad to hear that it works for now.

Solid green light means that the camera should be fine, but get stuck for some reason on your case, in this way, we are able to remove the camera and re-set it up; which won't ruin the camera itself.

You can take more time to test its performance. Any further problem, please let us know.
