TP-LINK NC450 v2 auto rebooting
Hi,
I have the issue with the camera NC450. I notice that pretty often it reboots by itself.
The LED switch to RED, so it reboots automatically. I have factory reset it, tried with the ethernet cable or just wifi...I also change the power adapter but nothing help.
I don't know if these issues began with FW 1.5.2 or not.
I still have a warranty...do anybody have that kind of problems too?
Thanks and regards, vaitapu

Hello,
How often the issue happens? What's the MAC address and the serial number of your camera? What's the model number of your router?
There is an Auto-reboot function on the app, please turn it on and monitor the camera's stability.
Good day.

Hi,
I still have CAM on FW 1.5.2 version but I figured out what causes the "reboot" the camera.
If I have enabled "motion detection" that crashes the cam pretty often...sometimes just in a couple of minutes.
I didn't notice that behavior in the old FW version.
I have disabled "motion detected" in FW 1.5.2 now and the cam is online more than two weeks now.
I could reproduce "crash" every time if I enable "motion detected".
Is your's experience the same?
Thanks in advance, Samir

Hello,
vaitapu turned off the motion detection and the camera seems to stable now. Can you elaborate on the problem? When did you buy the camera and when did the issue happen? Did the issue happen after you update the firmware? What troubleshooting have you done before? What's the light status on the camera when the issue happens? What's the camera's hardware version and firmware version?

@vaitapu I have 3 TP Link NC450 cameras, out of which 1 camera post updating to 1.5.6 is continuously flashing red, tried pressing reset button for more than 10 seconds, tried charger from different NC450 camera nothing has resolved the issue. Even connected the camera to laptop using ethernet cable still unable to access the camera. request you to provide an solution.

Good day,
Thanks for your patience.
May I know how long have you had the NC450 and did it work fine before?
If reset, the light still kept flashing, there might be something wrong with the camera.
As for access the camera via laptop, you might need to set up the static IP on the computer first, such as—method 2:
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/817/
and you could try to ping the camera default IP 192.1668.0.10; if still no response, I am afraid that the camera needs to be replaced.
Thank you very much.

Hi,
sorry for the late reply.
I don't use it anymore, because it is useless because of that issue.
I paid 60€ and that problem occurred when it was still in the warranty. Disappointing.
I also bought Xiaomi Dafang and Sonoff GK-200MP2-B, each of them cost approx 30€ and it works from the first day, without any problems or resets.
So I suggest buying Xiaomi of Sonoff....less money much way better experience.
That's my opinion and my experience.
Regards, vaitapu

@Karthikeyan_TK I have the exact same issue with same firmware version. Did you find a solution?

I still have CAM running on FW 1.5.2, but I've figured out what's causing the camera to "reboot."
When I enable "motion detection," the camera frequently crashes...sometimes in a matter of minutes.
That behavior was not present in the previous FW version.

I deactivated "motion detected" in FW 1.5.2, and the cam has now been up for almost two weeks.
If I activate "motion detected," I can replicate "crash" every time.
