C200 has gaps in continuous recordings
Hi,
I have 2 Tapo C200s and both have the same problem.
They are set for continuous recording, but when I view the playback there are random gaps in the recordings. (see screenshot)
Any Ideas?
Thanks

After working with the support engineers, the problem was found to be with the SD cards.
They are either faulty or non-genuine and had very low read & write speeds.
They were marked as Class 10 SD cards, but the read & write speed was only 5MB/sec.
Since replacing the cards the cameras are now working fine.

Hello, please check your recording schedule first, did you choose all the time? Please send us a screenshot of it.
Besides, you can check it with another phone.

Thanks for the info.
This case is a little wired, when did you buy the camera and when did the issue happen? Does it happen every day or just March 12? Does the camera lose power when it stops record?
Have you tried to factory reset it and test it with another phone?
What's the camera's MAC address and serial number? What's the model number of your SD card?
Good day.

Thanks for the reply
I bought the 2 cameras a week ago and the issue has always been there on both cameras.
Yes, it happens every day.
No, the cameras do not lose power when this happens.
Yes, I have factory reset both cameras. It seemed to fix the problem for 4 or 5 hours, but then the gaps in recordings started again.
I have the app installed on 3 different phones and the gaps are there when viewing recordings on all 3 phones.

I have also noticed at times that I can't view the cameras, I just get the spinning buffering symbol. The only way to fix this is to restart the camera. I can do this using the app, so the camera must still be on-line but not sending video.
I have also noticed other users on here have later firmware than me, but when I check it says I'm up to date.
Also mine is hardware V1.0 and others on here have V2.0.
Thanks
