VLC is unable to open the MRL 'rtsp://IP ADDRESS:554/stream1'. Check the log for details.

What can I do if fail to stream the Tapo camera via the RTSP/ONVIF protocol?
Btw, when you type the URL, have you used the camera's actual IP address(such as 192.168.x.x) rather than typing the words IP ADDRESS?

ensure you have set up a camera account under advanced settings after opening your camera settings on the app.
Then open url rtsp://username:password@ip address:554/stream1 on vlc player
eg: rtsp://smartboy:12345@192.168.0.55:554/stream1 obtain your camera ip address from within the app from settings/device info adding :554 as port number after your ip address
This will only allow you to view your camera, not pan tilt etc
Adjusting your camera via the app will show in VLC player
