T315 sensor gives wrong humidity readind
I bought this to monitor temperature and humidity in a holiday home while I am away. It seemed to work ok at first, but while away it gave humidity readings up to 82%, which had me worried. I am at the house now with a dehumidifier but it reads 70% when my weather station tells me the humidity is 50 %. The tapo t315 seems to be 20% high when estimating humidity. Is there a solution? Or is this sensor likely to be faulty?
I have four T315s at my permanent home and they all work fine.

It's normal for humidity levels to differ in various locations. For example, even in the same room, you might see significant variations in temperature and humidity data near windows, bathrooms, under beds, and close to appliances.
For this situation, I recommend checking if the sensor's vent is aimed at areas with noticeable humidity changes.
The humidity readings from your dehumidifier and the weather station also differ greatly, so that's not really a solid reason to question the sensor's accuracy. For a proper comparison, it's best to use the same type of device and place it in the same spot for testing.

Ok, I have checked some things. The sensor is consistent with the 4 T315s I have in the UK. It is also consistent with a vaillant Hest Pump controller and a klimalogg pro sensor. It is 7% higher than a weather station at home. I guess that means the sensor is working ok and the humidity in my holiday home is much higher than I thought (hoped!).

thanks for the reply. I can't check against another T315 until I get back home. However, I did test against two external origin weather station units. Today was very sunny and warm, so I put the two origin sensors and the T315 in the same place outside my south-facing kitchen window - shade and sun. Both origin sensors indicated 18% and the T315 indicated 40%. It is now back indoors right next to the base weather station and reads 63% (still creeping up) against 45% on the weather station. I will take the T315 home with me and compare against my 4 other ones.
